Radley appoints Lloyd Baker Leather as licensing partner
British accessories brand Radley has appointed Lloyd Baker Leather Ltd as its new licensing partner for handbags and small leather goods, as its owner Gordon Brothers pursues an international growth strategy following the brand’s administration earlier this year.
Under the agreement, Lloyd Baker Leather will develop, source, market and distribute Radley products across the UK, Europe, the US and Australia. The partnership is intended to maintain continuity for wholesale partners and consumers while expanding the brand’s reach.
Gordon Brothers acquired Radley and its intellectual property in May 2026 through a pre-pack administration deal, following a prolonged period of trading difficulties. The acquisition excluded the brand’s retail operations, leaving its stores and concessions outside the deal.
Radley’s website later closed, while its 21-store estate, made up of two standalone stores and 19 concessions and outlets, was reported to be closing by the end of August.
The new licensing agreement builds on Gordon Brothers’ previously outlined plan to operate Radley through an asset-light model, expanding its international presence and exploring additional product categories.
“Radley is a beloved British brand, and we are thrilled to work with Lloyd Baker Leather Ltd,” said Carolyn D’Angelo, senior managing director and head of brand operations at Gordon Brothers, adding that the agreement would preserve the brand’s design heritage while supporting its evolution.
Lloyd Baker Leather managing director and owner, Bobby Malhotra, said: “By combining Radley’s distinctive design heritage with our category expertise and established capabilities, we are looking forward to supporting the brand’s continued growth across key markets with continuity for retailers and consumers.”
